You can listen to mantras or vowels being sung, or you can use your own voice to balance your sacral chakra. In the east the sound of the chakras is associated with their Beeja or seed mantras. A seed mantra is a one word mantra used to strengthen the energy of the sacral chakra. The seed syllable used for the sacral chakra is VAM.
When you chant the word VAM, pronounce it as VUHM. You can chant a basic vedic mantra for the sacral chakra using the syllable “Om Vam Namaha ”. This translates to “I give honor to the energy of the sacral chakra”.
In the western world each chakra is associated with a vowel. You can chant the vowel as a single tone, or you can sing it using a scale or simple melody to make it easier to repeat it over time. Sing the vowel OO (EW as in you) to give strength and balance to the sacral chakra.
